  1. Great reflection! A lot of what you said really hit home with myself. I have a had a lot of feelings of doubt throughout these classes but always seem to come out feeling sucessful.

I too reflect on what I have learned through these courses as, "How can I share what I have learned with my peers?" and want to imediately incorperate what I learned in a meaningful way for my students.

It has been a pleasure working with you. I hope you see you in the next set of classes.

  2. Duane, this was a really great reflection and presentation. I appreciate your transparency about the doubts and desire to see a change so as to avoid being stuck in the past with teaching methods. As a fellow colleague, I have to agree with you. It is a tension that teachers today live in. It is also a very important message to communicate to our students. If we expect our students to be innovative and take risks then we must be willing to step out and take risks too. I think as we share these thoughts and mindsets with our staff and students they too will begin to see the value in learning new skills and testing them out. Trial and error must be a part of their educational experience.

I have enjoyed working with you through our classes and look forward to running into you again soon!

  3. Duane,

I really loved your Prezi presentation, and you have inspired me to learn more about creating my own Prezi's. Your reflection also gets me excited to hopefully get back into the classroom sooner than later. I am not teaching this coming school year, but I am excited to utilize the tools we have learned in this course. I agree that using a wiki in the classroom creates students who are producers of information, also taking ownership in their own learning. Your goals are ambitious- I wish you the best of luck in pursuing them to achievement!

  4. Hey Duane!

Great job on your professional learning plan. I felt like the words were flying at me instead of me flying at the words. Not that that matters. For some reason, I can't imagine you doubting anything. You seem like a very positive person and I can't imagine you ever thinking anyone can't do anything. Anyway, great job on this and everything else. It was great working with you!
